These Terms of Service apply when you shop at Nordsand through nordsand.dk.

Nordsand is a Danish sole proprietorship operated by Mannick Nord Sandvad, CVR 46584651.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

1. Products

Nordsand sells original artworks, fine art prints and, from time to time, commissioned artworks.

We do our best to represent each artwork accurately. Colours may vary slightly between the physical artwork or print and what you see on your screen.

Original artworks are one-of-one pieces. Fine art prints are reproductions of original Nordsand artworks unless otherwise stated.

2. Prices

All prices shown on the website are the prices payable for the product unless otherwise stated.

Shipping costs are added at checkout and shown before you complete your order.

Any taxes or other charges that legally apply to an order will be shown where applicable.

3. Orders and payment

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

For normal product orders, card payments may be authorised when the order is placed, but the payment will not be captured before the order is dispatched.

For custom commissions or other individually made products, different payment terms may apply and will be agreed before work begins.

We reserve the right to cancel an order in the event of an obvious pricing error, technical error, suspected fraud or if a product is unexpectedly unavailable. If payment has already been captured, the full amount will be refunded.

4. Shipping and delivery

Orders are shipped from Denmark.

We normally aim to dispatch orders within 2–5 business days. Made-to-order or temporarily low-stock prints may require additional processing time.

Delivery times shown on the website are estimates and may vary depending on destination and carrier.

You will receive tracking information when available.

Nordsand remains responsible for the order until it has been delivered to you.

5. Right of withdrawal and returns

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you normally have 14 days from the day you receive your order to withdraw from your purchase.

To use your right of withdrawal, contact us clearly at nordsandco@gmail.com within the 14-day period.

After notifying us, you have a further 14 days to return the product.

Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. The product must be returned safely packaged. You may inspect the product as you would in a physical shop, but you may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

Once the return has been received, we will refund the amount due in accordance with applicable consumer law.

6. Custom commissions

The normal 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to artworks made specifically to your individual specifications or given a clearly personal character.

This includes, for example, a commissioned painting based on your own photograph, catch or personal request.

The scope, price, expected timeframe and payment terms for a commission will be agreed before work begins.

Your statutory rights still apply if a commissioned work is defective or does not correspond to what was agreed.

7. Damaged or defective orders

If your artwork arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible at nordsandco@gmail.com and include your order number and photos where relevant.

Consumers are protected by the mandatory rights provided by Danish consumer law, including the statutory 2-year right to complain about defects in consumer goods.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Intellectual property

All Nordsand artworks, illustrations, photographs, text, branding and other original content remain the intellectual property of Nordsand or the relevant rights holder.

Purchasing an original artwork or print gives you ownership of the physical item only. It does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, distribute, sell copies of, commercially exploit or otherwise use the artwork without prior written permission.

9. Website use

You may use this website for lawful personal purposes.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, commercially exploit or misuse the website or its content without permission, except where permitted by law.

We may update products, prices, availability and website content when necessary.

10. Personal information

Personal information provided when using the website or placing an order is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce infrastructure used to process orders and operate the website.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Nordsand is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, provided this does not affect any mandatory consumer rights.

12. Governing law

These Terms and purchases made from Nordsand are governed by Danish law.

If you are a consumer living in another EU/EEA country, this does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection granted to you by the laws applicable in your country of residence.
