About
Nordsand is an art project inspired by life beneath the surface —
and by the idea that curiosity makes us care for the nature around us.
Where the curiousity began.
I started fishing when I was very young. My dad took me everywhere - from fishing boats on Öresund to pike fishing in lakes or catching flatfish from the harbour. Fish quickly became an obsession. My bedroom walls had fishposters and i would practice naming every species.
When I was younger, the water felt full of life. I remember catching more cod in Öresund and seeing flatfish everywhere when diving. I want to make people curious about what lives around us, and what we could lose.
Nordsand comes from the same curiosity I had as a kid. I hope the work can make people look a little closer at what lives around us — and care about keeping it there.
